Milton Keynes Dons completed the signing of forward Rhys Healey yesterday, landing the 24-year-old from Cardiff City for an undisclosed fee.
The Manchester-born marksman spent the first-half of last season on loan at Stadium MK, notching nine goals as he helped to propel the Dons into the third tier.
He has now returned on a permanent deal to end a six-year association with Championship side Cardiff, who he joined from Welsh outfit Connah’s Quay Nomads in 2013.
The reaction to the confirmation of Healey’s arrival from MK Dons supporters was overwhelmingly positive, as supporters flocked to Twitter to express their delight…

The forward becomes the club’s seventh summer signing, and the Dons’ business has generally pleased supporters. The acquisition of defender Regan Poole from Manchester United also earned plaudits from a delighted fanbase.
Paul Tisdale’s League One newcomers offered a glimpse of what they can do yesterday, when the Dons breezed past National League North side Brackley Town with an emphatic 5-1 win.
